Featured Post Gadget

I chose to add a "Featured Post" gadget to the right side of the blog at the top of the column. Currently it is set up to display the most recent post available. I chose this feature because this can easily highlight main points of the blog and topics are are current and up to date. There may be a specific event or subject that would be desirable to highlight and this is a easy way to get that post to the readers attention before it gets lost in the myriad of blog posts. It is a great way to get the information you want to relay to the reader quickly and obviously.
