Hi All, I enabled the labels feature - sort of like a hashtag - to organize posts and make them searchable by their category. I added the label "Blog Set Up" to all our first posts so that they can be organized together. I also added the Library of Congress website to the "Helpful Websites" widget on the right hand column. The blog looks great so far!

Hi all! I added the Palomar College Library website address to the Helpful Websites gadget, and changed the font of the blog from Georgia to Times New Roman, which helps the subtitle in the heading fit on one line (whereas before it was on two lines and looked a little awkward to me). This font and/or the size of it can be changed of course!

Hi everyone. After watching this weeks videos I wanted to play around and explore Blogger a bit before making any edits to the blog. For my contribution I added a translate gadget to the side column under the search bar. I figured this can be a helpful tool for our non-English speaking/reading visitors viewing the blog. I tested this tool out and it does work!

Hey Team! So far I have changed the them of the page to have a book shelf display behind all of the text. This inadvertently removed the photo of the books that were there so I apologize! I'm not sure how to get it back. I also added a small description to the page. Hopefully we can all build onto it to make it more dynamic. I also added a helpfull websites section to the right side of the page so we can organize helpful library research or blog links there to share with one another. I plan to keep playing with the blog this week to imporove what I have started.

Hi, I played around for a bit and was able to add a "search this blog" gadget to the sidebar. It took me a while to figure out that not all gadgets were going to work. I spent a decent amount of time trying to add the links gadget as I thought it would be nice to have our favorite or most used scholarly links here.

For my contribution, I changed the Background photo to a photo of books. I thought it fit with "Libraries". If not everyone likes it, then let me know and we can find a different background photo.

After watching the “How to use Blogger Gadgets and Template Design” video I felt more comfortable exploring and navigating the site. My addition was to add a “Home” and "team Contributions" page as a tab. I somehow inadvertently added a "Team Contributions" title which I had to figure out how to remove! It has been trial by error...
